Another update

Things are going good again, since my -600 downswing at 100NL, I have moved back to 50NL. I cashed out $500 to put me at $2500 and started pluggin away at the tables again. Im starting to play better compared to last week and also running a little better, Im +5 buy ins in 2 days and thats from only about 5k hands... so Im doing well.
One thing I've noticed is that since losing at 100NL I have been playing a bit more nitty. My stats for 23k hands were about 17.5/15 at 50NL, and since then after 8k hands Im running at 15.8/13.5. Im not really happy about this because I want to keep my VPIP around 18-20... I think the explanation for this is I've become a bit gunshy after losing all that money. Instead of playing my normal game, Ive tighten up quite a bit and have tried to stay out of marginal/high variance spots.
This is good for 50NL I think if you want to keep your variance down and make consistent money, however I know that Im a pretty high variance player in general. I tend to push a lot of draws, and take many aggressive lines in spots I think appropriate. Considering I ten table and get in about 40-50k hands a month these high variance type plays pay off for me in the long run much better I believe. Im going to try to get my VPIP back to around 18-20 in the next few days because I think that 18-20VPIP is optimal for all limits up to probably 2/4.
Also I just thought about this while reading over some of my old blog posts, I realized that for the most part I had no idea what I was doing when I first got in to cash games. I was honestly playing at about 13/8 and was clueless. Needless to say I was a winner stay, but not a huge winner. I started to read more on Cardrunners and decided I would try out some coaching lessons. I went with fruitypro because I knew he really cares about the CR community and generally loved to read his input on hands. He helped me open up my game and see many of my leaks in my game. Since the day of my first lesson I already noticed a huge improvement in my NL cash game.
...Anyways, my praise goes out to fruity and all other CR instructors, I plan to hook up with fruity to get another lesson once I move up to 100NL I believe.\
*Note: This blog was very lengthy and incoherent because its 2AM here and I cant goto sleep because my girlfriend is studying/reading in my bed and doesnt want to be distracted. Major bad beat, I need sleep!

WAYYY Overdue Update...

Well since my lost blog I moved all my money over to FTP and started playing 50NL with $1600, over 23k hands I ran at 7.22BB/100 and made $1750. I was rollin and making $45 an hour which was awesome (I was 8-10 tabling) so at about $3500 I decided to move up to 100NL.
Again... I can't beat that game for some god damn reason... Im stuck $600 after 4k hands and feel that I can't handle these swings yet. I ran pretty bad to start, but I also really misplayed a few hands and spewed off a couple buy ins...
So now Im at $2900 approximately... Im cashing out everything down to $2500 and going to play 50NL for the rest of May. I hope to play another 20-25k hands in this time and hope to continue running between 6-8BB/100 there. That will give me still a very nice profit for May and also with rakeback I will have a nice chunk of change at the end of the month.
This is the plan, I dont want to make any specific goals because I play bad apparantly whenever I do that... anyways wish me luck and I'll probably post a few times between now and then to report my success/failures.
FUCK 100NL, everyone on CR forums says that the game is no different from 50NL, which is very frustrating to hear since I crush 50NL but get kille din 100NL. It seems there are SOO many more regulars playing at 100NL, and none of my 3bet/cbets are getting respect. Im getting floated on every flop it seems... sigh. I think I won't take another shot till 4k+ this time, Im a ultra nit when it comes to my bankroll ever since I lost 2/3 of it playing under rolled.
